Set in waterside Woolloomooloo, 88 Dowling Street is an expansive 5-story apartment building that was in need of an interior design upgrade.
In collaboration with Swerve Design, Jarjoura Design was engaged to redesign and upgrade the building’s communal areas, which included the ground floor foyer, hall and lifts as well as the corridors on Level 1 – Level 4.
With the aim of bringing a more contemporary, elegant look and feel to the existing interiors, our approach was to introduce a calming, neutral colour palette, with new paint and carpeting throughout, which we then complimented with feature lighting and a few pieces of timeless furniture.
Our choice of materiality was also given careful consideration, to ensure both acoustic qualities and robustness were maintained in high-traffic areas.
This project is currently in concept stage. Execution is planned for 2022.
